Four dead after tipper truck topples on van

Four persons were killed while another 3 were wounded following a traffic accident involving a tipper truck and a van at Nelumdeniya on the Colombo-Kandy main road, police said.

According to reports, the tipper truck had toppled on to the van.

The deceased are said to be members of the same family who were traveling in the van from Colombo to Kandy.

The accident had also resulted in severe traffic congestion along the Kandy road.
