Norway extends support to Lanka’s resettled communities

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Sri Lanka and the Norway has signed an agreement to extend the Norway government’s support to the recently resettled communities in the Jaffna district.
Country Director of the UNDP in Sri Lanka, Joern Soerensen and Norway’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Thorbjørn Gaustadsæther has signed the agreement, according to the Government Information Department.
UNDP Sri Lanka, with the support of the Government of Norway, will strengthen its work in improving access to justice and livelihood opportunities of the recently resettled communities in the district.
