
Essa Kazim, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), welcomed a high-profile Sri Lankan delegation led by Finance Minister, Ravi Karunanayake, the Albawaba news agency reported.
The discussions held as part of the visit sought to reinforce business ties and investment relations between the island nation and Dubai.
As part of the knowledge sharing session, the DIFC team provided an overview of the Centres value proposition, and showcased the unique dynamics of financial services industry of Dubai.
Highlighting DIFC stringent yet enabling regulatory framework, DIFC Governor reiterated the Centres excellence in aligning corporate strategies to ensure seamless connectivity across the South-South corridor.
Commenting on the visit, Essa Kazim said: The visit of the Sri Lankan delegation served as a constructive platform to share our expertise in the financial, regulatory and legal practice domains. The meeting also offered us an opportunity to articulate our mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral synergies and promoting investments in the MEASA region for the benefit of our two countries and business communities.
