
The Land Rover Defender of MP Hirunika Premachandra, which was reportedly used for the abduction of an individual in Dematagoda, has been released on a bond of Rs 4.5 million, Ada Derana reporter said.
The Defender was released when the case was taken up for hearing before the Colombo Additional Magistrate today.
Earlier, Hirunika Premachandra, who was arrested by the CCD in connection with the abduction incident, was granted bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s court.
On December 21, a 34-year-old man was abducted in the Baseline Road area in Dematagoda and assaulted by a group of individuals who had arrived in the Land Rover Defender which is reportedly owned by the MP.
