JHU has passed away - Gammanpila
Mobitel Inner

The General Secretary of Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU), Udaya Gammanpila, says that his former party,  Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU), is the past of the national movement and that it passed away on the day it left the government to support the Common Candidate.

“To put it simply the Jathika Hela Urumaya passed away on November 30, 2014.”

Because it has not been buried after accepting the passing, that corpse is causing the entire society to smell badly, he told reporters in Colombo.

He also claimed that the JHU has split into pieces within and that Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka and Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero are openly expressing conflicting opinions.

He also claimed that the law in the country not being properly implemented was the cause for emotional strain on society when the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) organization Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero was remanded for 2 weeks.

“Those who threw stones at the Mannar court are still roaming free. Those who destroyed the Wilpattu national park are also roaming free.”

A young female MP who abducted a youth was not arrested until 21 days passed and she got bail immediately after being arrested, the UPFA MP charges.

He also said that still no arrests have been made in connection with the death of Sumith Prasanna in Embilipitiya although there are eyewitnesses and 24 days have passed.

Under a backdrop where the country’s law is not being implemented, the remand of the Buddhist monk for 2 weeks cause emotion strain, he said.
