Four arrested over Homagama protest

Four civilians, who allegedly involved in the violent protest near the Homagama Magistrate’s Court, have been arrested, the police said.
The Homagama Magistrate had earlier ordered the police to arrest and produce those who involved in the protest.
A tense situation was arisen in front of the Magistrate’s Court as a group of about 200 monks and civilians had gathered there in protest over the diction to remand Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera.
Monks representing the BBS, Ravana Balaya, and Sinhala Ravaya had also blocked the road near the court to prevent the prison bus from leaving the premises.
