Two dead, 1 injured after motorcycle crashes into tree

Two persons were killed and another injured after a motorcycle veered off the road and crashed into a tree on the Jaffna-Mannar road. 

Police said that the motorcycle rider, who was traveling towards Mannar, had lost control of the bike resulting in the accident. 

Three persons were admitted to the Mannar Hospital in critical condition following the incident, however the motorcyclist and another individual succumbed to injuries. 

The deceased have been identified as a 30-year-old and 23-year-old from Uppukulam and Anthonypuram respectively in Mannar.

The injured persons is still receiving treatment at the Mannar Hospital.
