Poison-free agricultural educational trade exhibition underway

President Maithripala Sirisena declared open the Poison-free Agricultural Educational Trade Exhibition which was organized under the “Toxin Free Nation” program at the BMICH, today (06).

 


The three-day exhibition and sale, organized by the Presidential Secretariat and the Ministry of Agriculture, will be open for public from 10.00.a.m. – 9.00.p.m. daily free of charge.

 


This Three-Year National Program named “A Wholesome Agriculture – A Healthy Populace – A Toxin free nation” has been initiated with the intention of preventing the use of highly toxic agrochemicals in farming sector.

 


Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero, Ministers S.B. Dissanayake, Duminda Dissanayake, Secretary to the President P.B. Abeykoon and others participated at this occasion.
