Suspect arrested over Sevanagala shooting

One person has been arrested in connection with the shooting incident in Sevanagala that took place on March 11 that left one woman dead and her husband injured. The 62 year old suspect is from the same area and police have recovered fire arm and ammunition from his house.

 

A 49-year-old woman died while her husband was injured and hospitalized following a shooting incident in Sevanagala on March 11.

 

The shooting was carried out by several unidentified men at a residence in the 700 Kotasa area in Sevanagala, Embilipitiya.

 

The woman’s husband, who reportedly sustained critical injuries, was been admitted to the Sevanagala Hospital.
