Basil’s petition postponed to June 08

The Supreme Court today (28) postponed the Fundamental Rights (FR) petition filed by former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa seeking an order to prevent his possible arrest by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) to June 08, Ada Derana reporter said.

 


The former Economic Development Minister filed the petition at the Supreme Court last month. Basil Rajapaksa claimed that the FCID is eyeing his arrest over money laundering charges.

 


The petition will be taken up for consideration again on 08 June.
