One dead, 2 critical after train hits three-wheeler

One person was killed while two others including a woman and child were hospitalised after a train collided with a three-wheeler at an unprotected railway crossing in Gorokgasdeniya, Alawwa.
An express train traveling from Colombo to Vavuniya had collided with the three-wheeler.
The driver of the three-wheeler, a female passenger and a boy were admitted to the Alawwa Hospital in critical condition.
The driver, a 38-year-old resident of Weralugollawatta in Alawwa, succumbed to injuries while the woman and boy have been transferred to the Kurunegala Hospital for further treatment.
