
Those who contested under the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) have no authority to represent the Joint Opposition, claims former Minister Mervyn Silva.
The observation was made at a press conference held in Colombo this morning (16).
Former Minister Silva also claimed he is the rightful owner and establisher of the Joint Opposition. “I would not allow robbers and corrupted politicos to use this name in future,” he added.
A banner which is similar to the one of the Joint Opposition was also displayed behind him.
He also slammed at the family rule of the previous regime.
While responding to reporters about allegation on tying a man to a tree, he added, “I have no rape allegations. I have no murder allegations,”
