Two children aged 9 and 16 year-old have drowned while playing in flood water in Awarakotuwa area in Wattala, police said.
According to police, the tragedy had occurred while the kids were playing in flood water near their house this morning (18).
The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Ragama Teaching hospital pending an autopsy.
