Navy rescue over 22,0000 people from floods

The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN), which is continuously carrying out its relief measures for the flood victims, has managed to rescue a total number of 22,675 people and transfer them to safe locations as of last evening (21).
In addition to this 106,520 people were provided with cooked meals and bottles of drinking water as well, SLN media unit said.
Meanwhile 90 Boat Rescue Teams have still been deployed in Hanwella, Ranala, Nawagamuwa, Malwana, Kaduwela, Mulleriyawa, Dompe, Pugoda, Wellampitiya, Kolonnawa, Biyagama, Kotikawatta,Angoda, Kelanimulla, Kelaniya, Sedawatta, Weliwita,Tharala, Kohilawatta, and Wennawatta areas to engage in any adverse situation.
