Sujeewa Jaywardena appointed Supreme Court judge

President’s Counsel Sujeewa Jaywardena has been appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

He was sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (16) at the Presidential Secretariat, the President’s Media Division said.

Meanwhile High Court Judge Piyasena Ranasinghe has been appointed as a member of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (also known as PRECIFAC).

He received his letter of appointment from President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (16) at the Presidential Secretariat.
