
UPFA MP Udaya Gammanpila claims that the government clearly has a phobia of the Joint Opposition, members of the Rajapaksa family and the “Jana Satana Pada Yathra” movement.
He stated that the government has contracted a “very dangerous disease” which is a “Jana Satana phobia”
“This is a critical illness. It cannot be cured,” he said, adding that the only way to cure this is to “send the government home.”
Gammanpila assured that the ‘Joint Opposition’ will launch the Jana Satana, which will defeat the government and thereby allow President Maithripala Sirisena to “comfortably sleep” in his hometown of Polonnaruwa.
The Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) leader stated that they have received information that another 7 members of the Joint Opposition before the 28th of July, the scheduled date for the launch of the ‘Jana Satana Pada Yatra’.
“I heard that these days the Special Investigations Unit is preparing the documents necessary for my second holiday,” he said.
Responding to a question from a journalist, he said: “We are not against implementing the law. Even if Mahinda Rajapaksa has committed a crime and is punished for that we will not criticize it. What we are also saying is that the law must be implemented. What we are criticizing is the implementation of this lawlessness.”
