Couple arrested on burglary charges in Jaffna

A man and a woman, both 20-years-old, have been arrested over their alleged involvement in robbing houses in Jaffna, the police said.
According to police, the arrest was made while they were fleeing with the gold stolen from a house in Jaffna last evening.
The suspects have been identified as residents of Sidambarapuram in Vavuniya, who are both allegedly have involved in several other robberies occurred in the area as well.
The suspects will be produced before the Magistrate today and further investigations are being conducted by the Jaffna police.
