President to solve issues faced by police

President Maithripala Sirisena has paid his attention over providing solutions for several issues faced by police officers, the PMD reported.
Accordingly, the President has given instructions to the Police Commission to follow a proper methodology on the promotions of the police officers and to start a rapid program to fill the vacancies from lower ranks to higher ranks.
The President emphasizes that actions should be taken without any delay to solve these problems in order to provide a more efficient and quality service to the people.
