Former Deputy Minister Sarana Gunawardena has been issued notice to appear before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court over the failure to declare assets. 

 

Two cases filed by the Bribery Commission against Gunawardena, for failing to declare assets and liabilities for 2005 and 2006 when he was the chairman of the National Lotteries Board, were taken up for hearing at court today (7).

 

After considering the fact presented, Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya issued notice for the former Deputy Minister to appear before the court on October 26.
