Naval personnel have apprehended 3 local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing activities in the seas off Nilaweli.
Along with the suspects a dinghy, 3 diving masks, 2 pairs of diving fins and a GPS unit were taken into naval custody, the Navy said in a statement.
The apprehended persons and their items were produced to Kuchchiweli Police for further investigations.
