JO MPs do not intend to get into a sinking boat - Gammanpila

Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader MP Udaya Gammanpila has dismissed claims that a group of MPs attached to the Joint Opposition are eyeing to defect to the Government.
The observation was made while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo (19) this afternoon.
“No one intends to get into a sinking boat,” he added. He also pointed out that earlier there were rumors that MPs Dullas Alahapperuma and Bandula Gunawardena were going to join the Government.
“They never defected, but instead resigned from the posts that they held in the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP),” he said.
