Yoshitha requests permission to travel abroad, Sajin granted bail

Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has requested to release his passport and sought permission to travel abroad, Ada Derana reporter said.
The decision on whether to release his passport or not will be issued by the Colombo High Court on 22 September.
Meanwhile, former UPFA MP Sajin Vass was granted bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today. He was released on a cash bail of Rs.250,000 and four personal bails of Rs.10 million each.
The case was filed against the former MP for allegedly entering into an illegal contract to supply ground support equipment from a Singaporean company, and thereby obliging the Mihin Lanka to pay Rs.883 million, reporter added.
