A man who was on his way for a court hearing in Moratuwa has been assaulted by an unidentified group, police said.
The person who sustained life threatening injuries following the attack was admitted to the Kalubowila hospital for treatments.
A police investigation is underway to locate and apprehend suspects, an official said.
