Man accused of selling drugs to school students arrested in Kandy

The police have arrested a suspect accused of selling drugs to schools students in Kandy.


The individual was arrested by the Central Anti-corruption Unit in Katugastota with 190 milligrams of heroin, an official said.


The suspect has been identified as a 43-year-old who is a resident of Colombo. According to police, the drug peddler had been involved in distributing drugs around Kandy, Katugastota and Akurana areas.


He will be produced before the Kandy Magistrate tomorrow.
