Two killed, one injured in accident in Bingiriya

Two persons were killed and one injured following an accident involving a jeep and two motorbikes in Bingiriya, the police said.

 


The accident occurred on Bingiriya – Thimbiriwewa road after the motorbikes had collided head on with the jeep, an official said.

 


The deceased have been identified as a 54-year-old from Horagasara and a 39-year-old from Ilukhena. Their remains are kept at the Bingiriya Base hospital pending a post-mortem.

 


The driver of the jeep has been arrested and will be produced before a Magistrate today.
