The Navy has arrested 6 local fisherman who engaged in illegal fishing activities using monofilament nets, in Thaleimannar.
Along with the suspects two dinghies and ten monofilament nets were also taken into naval custody.
The apprehended persons and belongings were handed over to the Assistant Directorate of Fisheries, Mannar for further investigations.
