A request made by the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) to interfere into the Writ Petition filed by an MBBS undergraduate of the Malabe medical college has been rejected by the Court of Appeal, Ada Derana reporter said.
The request was made by several parties including the GMOA and the Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA).
The request was dismissed when the petition was taken up for hearing before Justice Preethi Padman Surasena this morning (05).
The petition had been filed seeking an order questioning the decision of the SLMC not to register a batch of medical students of the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM), Ada Derana reporter added.
The case will be taken into consideration again on October 12 and 14.
