Daily wage of estate workers has been increased to Rs.730 following a joint agreement between estate unions and estate owners.
Earlier, the estate workers staged several protests demanding that the daily wage of estate workers be increased to Rs 1,000.
The estate owners however had deemed it high, citing the current “risk-prone” business environment.
