Prime Minister should resign - Gammanpila

The Prime Minister should resign from his post following the Treasury bond issue, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader Udaya Gammanpila says.
He expressed this view while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (31).
"When he (PM) was the Opposition Leader, Ranil Wickremesinghe urged the Transport Minister to resign following a train accident," he added. Gammanpila pointed out that the Prime Minister should resign since the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) comes under the PM. “The former CB Governor has also apprised that the controversial deal was made after taking instructions from the PM,” he said.
"Or we will move a no confidence motion against the Prime Minister," he insisted.
Gammanpila also went on to say that the Primary Dealer license of the Perpetual Treasuries Ltd. should be cancelled and a travel ban should be imposed on its directors.
