Sea cucumber being smuggled to Sri Lanka seized

About 200 kg of sea cucumber, an endangered species, worth about Rs 50 lakh (Indian Rupees) and meant to be smuggled to Sri Lanka, was seized by marine police from a boat off Mandapam district in India.
Three of the five persons in the boat were arrested, while two managed to escape, police said.
