Toll fee on highways to be reduced between 9.00pm to 5.00am

The toll fee of the Expressways will be reduced by Rs.50 between 9.00pm and 5.00am, Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said.
Sri Lanka’s current debt stock is around 9 trillion and proposed Debt Office will be set up as soon as possible, Karunanayake added.
He also said that PAYE tax will be exempted up to Rs 100,000 per month and CESS on 100 items will be removed with immediate effect. Further, telecommunication levy will be increased by 25%; Corporate Income Tax revised to 3 tier structure of 14%, 28%, 40%.
