Man arrested for slashing woman’s buttocks

A man was arrested for allegedly slashing the buttocks of a woman with a blade in Maharagama, police said.

 


The suspect has been identified as the same person who had injured two women in a similar manner at Maharagama town last month, an official said.

 


The suspect will be produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court on Thursday. According to police, he was arrested with the assistance of people in the vicinity near the Maharagama bus stand yesterday.

 


The injured woman, who was six months pregnant, is being treated at the Colombo South Hospital.
