A businessman was killed after an unidentified gunman had opened fire at him in Meetiyagoda on Monday.
The deceased is identified as a 45-year-old individual who is a resident of the same area. An investigation has been commenced to identify the suspect, an official said.
The remains of the deceased will be taken to the Watapola Base Hospital for an autopsy.
