
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has reportedly received an invitation from President Maithripala Sirisena to visit Sri Lanka and also address the nation on poverty alleviation programmes.
In his letter to Chandrababu, the Sri Lankan President lauded CM’s policies in reducing poverty in the state, Indian media reported today.
Maithripala Sirisena also appreciated the Naidu’s developmental schemes to better village administration and his schemes like pension and food processing.
Maithripala expressed his wish to maintain close ties with Andhra Pradesh and requested Babu to attend the celebrations marking the completion of two years as Sri Lankan President and also address their nation, according to media reports.
