Four arrested with 10kg of Kerala Ganja

Sri Lanka Navy personnel have arrested four persons for the possession of 10 kg of ‘Kerala Ganja’ at two separate locations, on receipt of intelligence information. 
 
Accordingly, naval personnel attached to SLNS Gemunu in Welisara belonging to the Western Naval Command along with the Police Special Task Force, Peliyagoda nabbed 2 suspects who were transferring 9 kg of Kerala Cannabis in a motor vehicle, during a raid carried out yesterday (30). 

The suspects and stock of cannabis were handed over to Kandana Police for further legal action.

On the same day, another 2 persons with 1 kg of Kerala Ganja in their possession were arrested by the naval personnel attached to SLNS Thambapanni located in Puttalam in the Northwestern Naval Command in coordination with the Puttalam Police during a joint search conducted in the general area of Eluwankulam. 

The arrested persons along with cannabis were handed over to the Puttalam Police for onward investigations, SLN media unit said.
