Mahinda to make a special statement today

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will make a special statement today (22), the National Freedom Front (NFF) said in a statement.

 


According to the statement, Rajapaksa will make the statement at the NFF’s convention which is scheduled to be held at the Sugathadasa indoor stadium on Sunday.

 


Party’s convention will be held in a situation while its leader MP Wimal Weerawansa is being remanded over the allegation of misusing a state vehicle.

 


MPs including Dinesh Gunawardena, Udaya Gammanpila and Vasudeva Nanayakkara will also attend the event, the statement added.
