Two arrested over Ambalangoda triple murder

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of three members of the same family in Idamthota, Ambalangoda. 

 

Acting on information received, Police carried out an operation and apprehended the men in Meetiyagoda.

 

A T56 assault rifle with 14 bullets, another pistol with six bullets and 4 grams of heroin was found in the possession of the suspects. 

 

They were allegedly involved in the murder of a man, his wife and child in Ambalangoda. 

 

Ambalangoda Police said that one of the arrested suspects is also wanted in connection with the murder Pradeshiya Sabha member Manoj Mendis in Hikkaduwa.
