Some are trying to gain a ‘political advantage’ through the controversy surrounding the private medical college in Malabe, the National Freedom Front (NFF) says.
NFF spokesman Mohammed Muzammil made the observation while speaking to reporters during a press conference held in Colombo on Sunday.
Muzammil pointed out some politicians are eyeing to achieve their political aims by unnecessarily promoting issue relating to the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).
“This is something that should not happen. A solution to resolve this issue should be identified without delay,” he added.
Muzammil also said the people should realize an effort is underway to draft a new Constitution to bring a federal solution. He went on to say, several remarks of the Foreign Minister regarding the drafting of the new Constitution provide evidence to support his prediction.
