Superintendent of Police Shani Abeysekera of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has been promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police.
The top CID officer was promoted with effect from August 25 last year, beased on the recommendation of IGP Pujith Jayasundara and approval from the National Police Commission, a police statement said today.
