Lotus Road closed due to protest march

Lotus Road in Colombo and Bank Road has been temporarily closed due to a protest march by a group of disabled war veterans.
The protesters are demanding their pension rights, as previously promised by the government.
Heavy traffic congestion has been reported in the area due to the protest while motorists are advised to use alternate roads.
