Ministry to offer online registration for fishing boats from next year

The Fisheries Ministry will next year introduce a service enabling fishing boat owners to carry out work related to registration through an online system, it was reported.

 


Accordingly, registration of boats will be handled via online once in every two years, the Ministry said.

 


It is mandatory to visit the Ministry for registration of boats, and the decision was taken following requests by fishermen who live outside Colombo.
