Eight high-ranking police officers transferred

Eight high-ranking police officers, including a DIG and two SSPs, have been transferred according to service requirements, police spokesman’s office said today.

 


The decision was taken by the Police Commission upon a directive from IGP Pujith Jayasundara.

 


Accordingly, DIG L.H.P Cooray has been transferred to the Kurunegala Police Division, while SSPs I.M. Saman Yatawara and G.M.H.B. Siriwardana have been transferred to Batticaloa and Ratnapura districts respectively. SPs L.K.D. Anil, A.B. Hakmana, M.A.S Mendis, A.G.U.C. Herath and W.M.A.R. Fernando are also among the transferred officials.
