The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) says an island-wide strike will be launched on 7 April in protest over the inaction of the government to resolve issues relating to the SAITM.
The announcement was made at a press conference held in Colombo on Monday (03) afternoon.
The GMOA says the strike will be commenced since the authorities have failed to address its issues and have failed to respond to a set of recommendations suggested by the GMOA along with the university deans and lecturers.
The GMOA added that over 150 unions are supposed to take part in the strike.
