A suspect found guilty of raping a 12-year-old girl and then murdering her by bashing her to death with a rock in Delft, has been sentenced to death by the Jaffna High Court.
Police said that a 36-year-old resident of Delft was sentenced by the court.
Meanwhile a 34-year-old suspect arrested for clubbing to death a person in Damana has also been sentenced to death by the Kalmunai High Court.
