Two persons stabbed to death in Pannala

Two individuals have been stabbed and murdered in Elabichiya, Bogaha Janapadaya within the Pannala police division.
Police said that the double murder had taken place at around 10.00pm last night (13) and that a suspect has been arrested in connection murders.
The victims have been identified as Galgamuralalage Damith Kumara (30) and Sudasinha Devage Harshana Kumara (32), both residents of Elabichiya. The post mortem examinations are to be carried out today.
Preliminary inquiries have uncovered that the murders were committed by the suspect as a result of a clash following a heated argument with the victims, police said.
The arrested suspect is to be produced at the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate’s Court.
