
The ban imposed on cutting down the Bo tree at the Pannipitiya Junction has been further extended.
The ban was imposed by the Supreme Court after a Buddhist monk and a group of people collectively submitted a petition against the decision made by the Road Development Authority to cut down the Bo tree.
The Supreme Court jury ruled to extend the ban till the 13 of June at the petition hearing today (09), Ada Derana court correspondent, K. S. Udaya Kumar stated.
