Kerawalapitiya murder: body of the deceased exhumed

The body of the 65-year-old man in Kerawalapitiya who was believed to have been killed and buried by his son-in law was exhumed today.
The body was exhumed in the presence of Negombo Chief Magistrate Purnima Paranagamage. The son-in-law, his daughter and wife have been arrested in connection with the murder so far.
The daughter and son-in law had too visited the crime site this morning.
An investigation to locate deceased’s whereabouts was initiated as the Wattala police received a complaint stating that the person had gone missing since few weeks.
According to police, the son-in-law has confessed to killing his father-in-law, Hetti Thanthrige Don Walter, after a dispute about his marriage, it was reported.
