Murder suspects arrested with firearm in Ja-ela

Two persons who had allegedly involved in several murder cases were apprehended with a t-56 firearm in Ekala, Ja-ela.

 


The suspects were arrested following a raid carried out by the Western Province (North) Crime Division, police said.

 


The police have also seized seven live ammunition from the possession of the suspects, it was reported.

 


The arrested persons have been identified as residents of Kosgoda and Meetiyagoda.

 


They will be produced before the Negombo Magistrate today.
