The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today directed Borella Police to file an amended plaint against State Minister Ravindra Samaraweera and one of his secretaries for allegedly using a vehicle with forged license plates and changed chassis number.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake instructed police to submit the plaint on July 19 and also ordered the State Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations and his secretary M.G. Palitha to appear before the court on the said date.
The court had issued these orders when the case filed by Borella Police, based on a complaint received in 2009, was taken up for hearing today (14).
