Programme to target spread of Dengue in high-risk areas

The Government Entomology Officers’ Association announced that all health sectors had agreed to launch a programme to minimize the population density of Dengue mosquitoes and treat Dengue patients.

 

The Association explained that they would be focusing their attention primarily towards the curbing of Dengue in high risk areas.

 

Meanwhile, health sectors also informed that polythene would be completely banned from the Kataragama religious site during the period of the Kataragama Esala Perahera (Kataragama Esala Procession).
